Course Overview

The Computer Networking Basics course is designed to teach the fundamentals of Data networking. The class describes what an Ethernet network is and how devices communicate using Ethernet. Basic switching and routing is discussed, reviewing the different uses of each device. TCP/IP suite of protocols are covered while describing how the protocols are used. Lecture sessions are followed with in-depth hands-on labs to fortify the training topics. Basic IP addressing is covered to explain what IP is and how devices are addressed.
